Getting the Most Out of Ground Pork

leave a comment »

Mel was away for three days this week, so I relied heavily on a pack of ground pork to come up with meals.

The first dish, which I made on Tuesday, was super simple: ground pork with kimchi. No other sauces or seasoning, just these two ingredients dumped into a frying pan and mixed about. The result was super and it went really well with rice.

I decided not to rely too heavily on kimchi the next day and made a ground pork dish using some different ingredients. I chopped up broccoli and mixed in garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and grated some ginger to give the ground pork some flavor. While it wasn’t as intense in taste as the kimchi mix, this stirfry was enjoyable and lasted a few meals. Plus, it was nice to finally see some green color in a meal.

Just one more week left of February challenge – I feel like I really need to make something with gizzards or liver before this is over.
