Spring Into Action Changes Course & Announces Contest

A couple months ago, we helped launch a website for Spring Into Action, a startup looking to shake things up in the world of mattress recycling while offering opportunities for the formerly incarcerated. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as smoothly as they had hoped:

Price and bed bugs have done us in so we’ve decided to put the used mattress recycling business on hold at least until the bed bug epidemic dissipates.

You can read the rest of the blog post here. But the good news is that they’re still committed to doing something special, especially by offering job opportunities for the formerly incarcerated, homeless, and recovering addicts. This week, Spring Into Action announced Ideas for Impact Challenge, a $25,000 contest calling for social business ideas that will help chart the organization’s next steps. We helped to create the one-page websitewhere you can sign up to find out more about the contest in the coming weeks.
